Peter Mulrooney
Non Executive Chairman
Peter has over 25 years experience in the Medical Devices Industry, spanning management responsibility roles in Business Development, Operations, Quality and Engineering. Prior to his role as Non Executive Chairman at Rockfield Medical Devices, he was the CEO of Aran Biomedical, where he led and restructured the company, ultimately leading it to a successful acquisition by Integer in 2022. He is a non-executive board member of numerous Medical Device start-ups. Peter received a Degree in Industrial Engineering & Information Systems and a Higher Diploma in Quality Assurance from University College Galway.

Tomás Thompson
Founder & CEO
Tomás Thompson, Founder and CEO of Rockfield Medical Devices, intimately understands the challenges of tube feeding. Driven by personal experience, he has built an expert team to bring an innovative tube feeding system to the market. With over 15 years’ experience in the healthcare industry and a proven track record in SME business development, Tomás leads with strong vision for game changing, user-friendly, mobile enteral feeding systems. He holds a degree in Business and Education from ATU Galway and an MSc from Ulster University. Tomás's strategic leadership and commitment to healthcare innovation define his approach, as he spearheads the development of cutting-edge tube-feeding solutions to improve patient care globally.

Conor McNamara
Board Member
Conor McNamara is an independent Strategic Corporate Advisor specialising in the Medical Technology Industry, providing advisory services in corporate strategy, financial strategy, and transaction advisory to multiple companies along the corporate lifecycle from early start-ups to corporate exits. He has prior experience working in venture capital and held senior financial roles in the MedTech industry over the past 20+ years. He serves on the boards of various medical device companies and also advises on M&A transactions in the Medtech sector. Conor is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds postgraduate qualifications from the University of Oxford.

Philip Watson
Non-Executive Director
Philip is an experienced business executive with over 30 years in the medical device industry. He joined Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC) in Galway as part of the startup executive team in 1994, initially as Director and later as Vice President of International Logistics. Since leaving BSC in 2000, Philip has worked with entrepreneurs to create and grow medical device companies and subcontract design and manufacturing service companies. In his roles as both an Executive and Non-Executive Director, he has been involved in strategic growth, talent development, international business expansion. Philip served as a Board member of the Irish Medical Device Association for many years and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Tara Maddi
Vice President, Sales & Marketing (U.S.)
Tara is a strategic commercial leader with over a decade of experience in medical nutrition, infusion therapy, and home-based-care. She has a proven track record of driving growth, launching innovative care models, and building partnerships across healthcare systems.At Rockfield, Tara is responsible for leading U.S. commercialization and driving market expansion for the Mobility+ device. She is passionate about advancing patient-centered innovation and improving care delivery through scalable, high-impact solutions. She is a Registered Dietitian and holds a degree in Dietetics from Syracuse University.

John Kelly
Head of R&D
John guides device development activities at Rockfield Medical Devices, leveraging over 30 years of design/development experience in the medical devices sector. His career has seen him in pivotal technical leadership roles across both startups and established device companies, where he has guided the ideation and development of numerous innovative medical devices. He holds a primary degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Computer Aided Engineering.

Thomas Glynn
Commercial Operations
Thomas serves as the Operations Manager at Rockfield Medical Devices, overseeing the outsourcing of manufacturing and supply chain management. With over 15 years of international experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, including medical devices, Thomas has led engineering teams and business units in both startups and established companies. He holds a degree in Polymer Engineering from the Athlone Institute of Technology.

Donal Mayne
Senior Design Engineer
Donal, as Senior Design Engineer at Rockfield, drives the design and testing of the company's innovative product line and accessories. His role spans research, design, project management, testing, and prototyping. Donal holds a degree in Product Design and Innovation from the Southeast Technological University, complemented by an MSc in Medical Device Design from the National College of Art & Design. With a robust background in the medical device industry, Donal has made significant contributions to numerous multinational companies and has over 10 years of experience in the medical device industry.

David English
Financial Controller
David is the Financial Controller at Rockfield Medical Devices, bringing 15 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant in hyper-growth multinationals and dynamic startups. He holds a B.Comm from the University of Galway and an M.B.S from Dublin City University. David is passionate about helping finance teams and companies grow and scale.

Edel Keaveney
Senior Research Manager
Edel's work focuses on clinical research, usability testing and design validation. Edel also provides expert support for marketing and commercialization initiatives, labeling, dissemination (including scientific publications) and bioburden testing. She holds a BSc in Nutritional Sciences from University College Cork and a PhD from Ulster University. With over 15 years of experience in scientific roles spanning multinationals, startups, and public health agencies, Edel brings extensive expertise in research and key stakeholder management.

Rachael Connolly
Clinical Science Liaison
Rachael's work spans R&D and commercialization, leveraging her background in Human Nutrition and marketing. She expertly develops and delivers product training, represents Rockfield Medical Devices at conferences and exhibitions, and is involved in stakeholder engagement. Rachael also excels in product testing, design validation, usability, and clinical study planning and reporting. In addition, she contributes to risk management, literature reviews, labelling, and dissemination.

Warner Figueras
R&D Engineer
Warner, a Biomedical Engineer specializing in product design, development, and test method innovation, provides critical technical expertise in advancing Rockfield's processes, product portfolio and innovative product pipeline. He holds an Honours Degree in Biomedical Engineering from ATU, Galway.

Anna Gallagher
Grant Project Co-ordinator
Anna spearheads all grant-related activities at Rockfield Medical Devices, while also managing human resources, and office operations. With over 20 years of experience spanning the medical device, pharmaceutical, and software development sectors, Anna has made significant contributions to both startups and multinational corporations. Anna holds a BA in Management Practice, a Diploma in Management & Industrial Relations, and a Diploma in Psychology.
